This is an artist's rendition of Castle McKenzie, with the proposed addition built between the existing castle and the garages.

Below are descriptions of each level of the proposed addition.  Estimated 2009 construction cost was $290,000.00

FIRST LEVEL ENTRY:  Enter across a wooden drawbridge that crosses the moat to a stone entry. A circular stone staircase leads up to the main level of the castle. A doorway under the stairs takes you to a 20'x25' Recreation Room. Off of that is a 13'x17' storage room. Off of the entry foyer to the right is a large 6'x6' closet (shaft) that can later be used to house an elevator. Further to the right is a 13'x14' Fitness Room with shower and toilet facilities and a sauna room. To the right is an outside entrance that leads to a covered parking area.

SECOND LEVEL MAIN LIVING:  Upon reaching the top of the stairs from the foyer, you enter a 20'x25' two-story, open Great Room with a large stone, walk-in fireplace, and 8'x12' skylight. There is a lavatory and another 6'x6' closet (future elevator). Going through a large curved archway takes you into the 13'x21' Kitchen with breakfast area that opens to a 6'x13' outdoor terrace. There is also a 5'x9' Pantry. Adjoining the kitchen is a 12'x14' dining room with French doors leading to a 12'x14' covered terrace with mountain view.

THIRD LEVEL SLEEPING:  Upon ascending a staircase from the Great Room, you arrive at an open landing that looks over the great room and entry foyer below. To the left is the Lady's 10'x13' sewing and craft room. From there, is a circular staircase that leads up to the Tower Room. Back off of the landing is the Laird's 12'x14' Study. There is a laundry closet just before entering the 14'x17' Master Bedroom with walk-in closet. The Master Bedroom offers a 10'x10' master bath with walk-in shower, and has French Doors leading to a 12'x14' open Terrace with a mountain view.

FOURTH LEVEL ROOF TOP:  The roof level offers an enclosed Tower Room, garden and lounging areas. There is also the 8'x12' raised skylight that looks down on the Great Room. The roof level offers unbelievable views of the surrounding mountains.
